Wake Forest Demon Deacons Logo
- Download PNG Wake Forest Demon Deacons Logo PNG The athletic logo of Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, is simple and memorable.
- Meaning and history 1968 – 1992 The very first badge of the Wake Forest Delon Deacons team was created in 1968 and stayed untouched for decades.
- It was a circular logo, with the image of an old man in a tall hat, drawn in a brown and black palette on a white background, enclosed into a thick white frame in a double black outline.
- The full wordmark was written around the perimeter of the frame, in black serif capitals, with two parts of the inscription separated by two solid black eight-pointed stars.
- 1993 – 2006 The redesign of 1993 kept the club’s mascot on the logo, but redrew it in a more modern way, adding some anger and a sense of danger to the old man portrait.
- Now the image was placed on the right part of the badge, at the end of the “Wake”, set above the “Forest”.
- The inscription was executed in a fancy serif typeface, in the uppercase, with the first letters of both words enlarged.
- The lettering was executed in the same brown and black color scheme, as the portrait.
- 2007 – Today There is nothing but two letters on the Wake Forest Demon Deacons logo: “W” and “F.” The first one, the “W,” is positioned to the left of the “F” and slightly higher in the line.
- In this form, the emblem has been used since 2007.
