- Over the last four decades, the Vermont Catamounts logo has featured a large wild cat.
- There have been a couple of subtle updates, though.
- Meaning and history 1981 – 1997 On the emblem introduced in 1981, we can see a wild cat leaping through a large dark green “V” with neon yellow trim.
- 1998 – Today The structure of the following logo is pretty much the same.
- And yet, if you take a closer look at the subtle differences between the two emblems, you will notice the more recent version is more refined.
- The most obvious alteration is the richer palette.
