  • The brand is best known for its aerial work platforms and cranes.
  • Meaning and history The company’s origins can be traced back to 1909 when the Euclid Crane and Hoist Company was founded in the US.
  • In 1968, General Motors had to divest the Euclid brand.
  • However, it still owned an earthmoving division, which was renamed Terex.
  • The first vehicles bearing the Terex logo featured just the lettering “Terex” in a bold sans serif font without the iconic emblem.
  • Later, the company added an icon featuring a maroon shape symbolizing the company’s products and a crown.
  • The stripe houses the word “corporation” in white in a simple sans serif type.
  • The word “Terex” itself looks different than in the primary Terex logo – here, the bottom left end of the “X” is stretched.
