- Meaning and history 2002 – Today Both the old and the current Southern Utah Thunderbirds logo feature a bird, yet there are quite a few differences between them.
- On the old emblem, you can see an angled view of the eagle’s head with a lightning bold below.
- The lettering “SUU” in red is going across the middle of the design.
