  • Meaning and history The Bulls are the Triple-A minor league baseball team with a long and illustrious history.
  • They started playing in 1902 under the name of the Durham Tobacconists.
  • When the movie Bull Durham appeared in the late 1980s, the club attracted a considerable interest and even broke the record in attendance for a Class-A team (over 300,000 for a season).
  • Symbol Interestingly enough, the Bulls didn’t have a logo as such until the 1980s.
  • Throughout the first 80 years of their history, they wore hats with a big script “B,” while the shirts featured the lettering “Bulls” across the chest.
