- Meaning and history 1999 – 2004 The original Mountain West Conference logo (1999) featured the name of the conference paired with a snowcapped mountain above.
- 2005 – 2010 In the following version (2005), the word “Conference” disappeared, while the word “West” grew larger.
- The shade of purple became slightly darker.
- 2011 – Today The current emblem, which was adopted in 2011, dropped the mountain design altogether.
- Now, there is a 3D cube with the letter “M” on one side and the “W” on the other.
- The two letters look like a mirror reflection of each other.
