- Meaning and history 1993 The very first logo of the Sacred Heart Pioneers was composed of an arched and shadowed “Pioneers” lettering in the uppercase of a traditional typeface with sharp and elongated serifs on the ends of the letters’ lines.
- The inscription was set in a dark burgundy color with a thin black outline and a light gray shadow, placed on a white background.
- Under the right part of the logotype, there was a graphical emblem, repeating the traditional coat of arms in the same white, burgundy, and gray color palette with the black separation lines.
- 2002 The redesign of 2002 placed the logotype and the crest in one line, on a gray and white horizontally stretched banner.
- The typeface of the wordmark was switched to bolder and more geometric one, with massive square serifs, and the additional “Sacred Heart University” lettering was added to the top line of the new logo.
- The color palette remained the same.
- 2013 The redesign of 2013 introduced a completely different Pioneers’ badge with the portrait of a man drawn in profile facing to the right, placed on a white background, and enclosed into a thick red circular frame with the white “Sacred Heart University” inscription in the uppercase on it, and the massive italicized geometric “Pioneers” written along the bottom line of the logo.
- 2014 – Today Although the Sacred Heart Pioneers logo went through three modifications from 1993 to 2013, it retained the word “Pioneer” as one of the most visible parts.
- It has always featured the combination of bright red and grey as well as the white background.
