- 1992 – 2003 The original Energy Star logo featured a handwritten cursive “Energy” lettering placed slightly diagonally above a thin horizontal line.
- The straight minimalist Star was placed at the end of the word.
- The whole logo was “covered” by a thin arch, which started above the first “El of the wordmark and finished above the Star.
- For the first ten years, there were two main variants of the logo — the official and most used monochrome one, and the brighter and more or tame, where the yellow inscription with a Star was placed on a half-circle with the globe pattern.
